MagTrace™ Recovery Module for DA1 Magazine Adapter

MagTrace™ is an optional recovery module designed exclusively for use with the T2G DA1 modular magazine adapter platform. It requires the DA1 Magazine Adapter and will not function as a standalone product.

MagTrace integrates a concealed Apple AirTag® housing into the DA1 base assembly, allowing misplaced magazines to be located using the Apple Find My network.

When installed, MagTrace provides an added layer of equipment accountability during training, travel, and storage. The AirTag is visible through the base opening and can be installed with the white face outward for a clean appearance. Tracking remains fully user-controlled and can be removed at any time.

MagTrace does not affect feeding, reliability, or handling and does not require permanent modification to the magazine or adapter.

Design & Construction

The MagTrace module integrates directly into the DA1 base assembly and is mechanically retained within the adapter structure. The system utilizes a precision-machined, anodized aluminum housing combined with high-strength polymer components to provide long-term durability and impact resistance.

The aluminum structure protects the AirTag from mechanical damage while maintaining a low-profile external shape and professional finish.

When installed, MagTrace adds approximately 3/8″ of length beyond the DA1 adapter.

Each unit is engineered and manufactured in-house for long-term durability.

Installation

MagTrace installs as part of the DA1 adapter assembly. Installation requires partial disassembly of the adapter. An installation video is provided.

Basic hand tools required.
